The list you see above is just a small number of examples of “thoughtful but not required” elements.
- Provide a washer and dryer- Have you ever traveled with kids? They can be MESSY! Or even if you haven’t, wouldn’t it be nice to make the unpacking process back home easier by having clean clothes?
- Give recommendations!- Most people don’t want to travel somewhere new and eat at chains they can get back home. Provide restaurant recommendations, hidden gem attractions, and must visit local shops.
- Provide extra linens- Wouldn’t it be nice to know you weren’t limited to just one or two wash cloths per person for your week long stay? Provide extra linens!
- Provide a Portable Crib (like a pack n play)- These are a God send to traveling parents because it makes traveling with an infant easier. Additionally, as a host, it’s wonderful because you don’t have to commit space to having a crib- its a win/win!
- Provide an iron with board- We’ve all been there-traveling for a special event and as despite how carefully you packed- your clothes are wrinkled. But no worries! Your host was thoughtful enough to provide an iron with board and you don’t have to worry about being a wrinkled mess.
- Customize your welcome message!- This is so important! Be specific about the locations of things like laundry room supplies, extra linens, etc. This allows for a hassle free check in process. Additionally, it opens the door for opportunity to check in with your guests throughout their stay to ensure they’re having a wonderful time.
